Onetek Security, trading since 2013, provides national security services specializing in analytics-based CCTV and monitoring, access control systems, biometrics, smoke detection, time-lapse videos, and manned guarding. The company delivers both temporary and permanent installations and offers dedicated solutions for vacant properties. Its analytics detection services hold CPNI and Secured By Design certifications, reflecting high-level government and police security standards. Onetek Security has built a regular client base on reputation, trust, and strong aftercare, supported by highly skilled engineers and dedicated account managers who oversee projects from start to finish. The organization is committed to improving industry standards while staying aligned with evolving technology and market needs.

Role Description

The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Milton Keynes. This position is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and expanding Onetek Security’s presence in target markets. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Prospecting and qualifying leads
  • Conducting client meetings and site visits
  • Preparing proposals and quotations
  • Negotiating contracts in line with company policies

The role also involves:

  • Collaborating with technical and operations teams to design security solutions
  • Tracking sales performance
  • Providing regular reports and forecasts to management
  • Representing the company at industry events
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of security technologies and certifications
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of sales processes and customer experience

Qualifications

  • Strong sales, business development, and account management skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Experience in the security, facilities, or related technology sectors, ideally with knowledge of CCTV, access control, or monitoring solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships at all levels.
  • Solid planning, organization, and pipeline management skills, including use of CRM or similar tools.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and operations teams to translate client needs into practical solutions.
  • Comfort working on-site and conducting regular client visits, surveys, and demonstrations in and around Milton Keynes.
  • Self-motivated, results-focused mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
