The Role: Business Development Manager

Location: South East with Travel

Sector: Sales – Business Development – Catering – Project Management

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 DOE + Bonus + Travel Allowance

We are working with an established international business to find an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across the UK and European markets. You'll join a connected global team, collaborating closely with colleagues in Dubai and Singapore, and play a key role in identifying and developing new commercial opportunities across the design, construction, interiors, hospitality, and F&B sectors.

This position offers the chance to build trusted relationships with influential industry professionals, share market intelligence across international markets, and support the long-term succession of an established UK and Europe portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business development activity across the UK and Europe, generating and qualifying leads into commercially valuable projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, project managers, developers, consultants, and other design and construction professionals.
  • Engage key decision-makers at an early stage of the project lifecycle to position the business effectively.
  • Monitor market activity, upcoming developments, and competitor trends.
  • Collaborate with Dubai- and Singapore-based BDM teams, sharing intelligence, contacts, and leads to maximise opportunities.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to increase market presence.
  • Maintain accurate records of activity and work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth handover from opportunity to delivery.

About You

The ideal candidate will be a commercially minded, well-connected BD professional with experience in design, construction, interiors, hospitality, F&B, or a related project-led environment. You'll be comfortable engaging senior stakeholders over an extended sales cycle and translating relationships into meaningful commercial outcomes.

You will have:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management.
  • An established network among architects, interior designers, project managers, developers, or consultants.
  • Strong understanding of the design and construction process, from concept through to procurement and delivery.
  • Knowledge of hospitality, F&B, or related commercial sectors.
  • Experience managing opportunities across the UK and/or Europe.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills.
  • A consultative, relationship-led approach with strong commercial awareness.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe as required.
