Hello. We’re Teya.
Teya was founded on a simple belief: local businesses deserve better. They are the cafés, restaurants, salons, shops and entrepreneurs that bring character to our high streets, create jobs and keep communities moving. Yet for too long, financial services has made life harder for them - with clunky tools, poor support and complexity that gets in the way of running a business. Teya exists to change that.
We’re building a financial platform for local businesses across Europe - one built around simple tools, thoughtful design and real human support. Our Members rely on us to help them run their business with confidence, and that responsibility shapes the way we work.
We move fast. We care about quality. We stay close to the detail. And we believe great performance and genuine hospitality should go hand in hand.
If you want to build meaningful products, solve real problems and make a genuine difference for local businesses, we’d love to hear from you.
Your Mission
We're looking for a field-based sales professional to join Teya's rapidly growing sales organisation. This is a role for someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and contributing to business growth within their territory.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Consistently reach KPIs with little guidance and maintain accurate CRM records, reporting and pipeline visibility
- Proactively identify and engage prospective customers within your territory through outbound outreach, networking and referrals
- Meet customers face-to-face to understand their needs, challenges and goals, building trust through consultative conversations, value-led sales approaches and building long term relationships
- Expand Teya’s reach into new segments and win larger, high-value and multi-location clients using (not only) your past connections
- Develop strong knowledge across Teya's products and solutions, supported by internal and external training and train others and support junior sales agents through coaching, training and knowledge-sharing.
- Share and create insights on customer needs, competitors and market opportunities to improve Teya’s products, messaging, sales processes and merchant experience as well as identifying partnership potential and necessary integrations
- Get involved in cross-functional strategic projects, suggest improvements that impact area results and quality of deliveries
- Represent Teya as a credible, professional and values-led ambassador within your territory
- Build long-term customer relationships by identifying relevant upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance sales culture that values learning and continuous improvement

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your Story
This role is about more than closing deals. It's an opportunity to build meaningful customer partnerships, develop your commercial capability further, and set the standard for a supportive, high-performing sales team.
You already understand what it takes to succeed in sales — prospecting, handling rejection, owning your number. You've built pipeline from scratch, closed against a target, and know what commercial judgement actually looks like in the field.
We're looking for people who can bring that experience in and raise the bar for everyone around them from day one. We want people who stay coachable, are open to adapting to our way of selling, and are motivated by more than a bigger base. If you've got the track record and the mindset to build on it here, you'll thrive.
We're looking for people who bring:
- A verifiable track record of quota attainment
- Strong prospecting discipline and pipeline management
- Sound commercial judgement and negotiation capability
- A competitive mindset and a genuine desire to win
- Strong experience in a customer-facing or sales-related role (field-based experience is a strong advantage)
- Confidence building relationships and engaging new customers
- Strong organisation and time-management skills, particularly in a field-based environment
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving business
- A proactive, self-driven mindset and a genuine desire to learn and develop
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Fluency in English
- A full UK driving licence
