About the Role
Some of the biggest opportunities in engineering don't always begin with an RFQ. They begin with a conversation. This could be a manufacturing challenge, an idea, or a capability that solves a problem better than anyone else.
We're looking for a Business Development Manager who can identify those kind of opportunities, earn the trust of customers and turn engineering capability into commercial success.
You'll be talking to engineering leaders about manufacturing challenges they haven't solved yet. Uncovering opportunities, shaping technical solutions with the engineering team, then building those ideas into long term production programmes.
If you're happiest selling from a catalogue, this probably won't be for you. But if you enjoy opening doors, understanding complex engineering problems and connecting customers with manufacturing capability they didn't know existed, please keep reading.
You will be joining a company that works with some of the most demanding engineering sectors in the world. Composites and metallic manufacturing sit at the heart of what they do, with a reputation for delivering complex, high-value assemblies. Their markets are evolving, with Aerospace and Defence becoming an increasingly important part of the business, alongside opportunities across advanced engineering in Motorsport, Automotive, Energy, Healthcare and high-performance industries.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
