Role Description

The Business Development Manager is a full-time hybrid role based in Lichfield. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with merchants and partners, and promoting MONEK’s payment solutions.

  • Prospecting and qualifying leads
  • Conducting meetings and presentations
  • Preparing proposals
  • Negotiating contracts
  • Managing a pipeline to achieve sales targets

The Business Development Manager will collaborate with internal teams such as product, marketing, and support to ensure a seamless onboarding experience and ongoing client satisfaction. The role also involves monitoring market trends, gathering feedback from customers, and contributing insights to help refine MONEK’s offerings and go-to-market strategies.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within financial services, fintech, or payment processing.
  • Strong skills in relationship-building, stakeholder management, and client communication, with the ability to present complex solutions clearly.
  • Proven ability to manage pipelines, negotiate commercial terms, and meet or exceed revenue and growth targets.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to understand customer needs, interpret market trends, and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid environment, with strong self-organization, time management, and proficiency in CRM tools and productivity software.
  • Understanding of digital payments, merchant services, or related technology platforms is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant education in business, finance, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Commitment to operating with integrity and contributing to a culture of agility, innovation, quality, and excellence.
