Business Development Manager – Pharmaceutical Technology

An innovative pharmaceutical technology organisation is looking to appoint a proactive and commercially minded Business Development Manager to support continued growth and the development of new client opportunities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines a strong understanding of pharmaceutical sciences with commercial ability and enjoys building relationships within the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry.

Working closely with senior commercial leadership, you will support business development activities across a diverse client base, ranging from emerging and specialist pharmaceutical businesses through to major global organisations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Generate leads and build strong client relationships
  • Support commercial and business development initiatives
  • Assess new product and market opportunities
  • Support licensing and product development activities
  • Attend industry conferences and events
  • Work closely with scientific, technical, and commercial teams

What We're Looking For

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical science or drug development
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commercially minded, proactive, and organized
  • Confident engaging with scientific and commercial stakeholders
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts

Nice to Have

  • B2B sales or business development experience within life sciences
  • Pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or CDMO experience
  • Exposure to drug development, formulation, or pharmaceutical technology
  • Experience in lead generation, licensing, or commercialisation
  • An established life sciences network
