We’re hiring: Business Development Manager

📍 Milton Keynes | 💷 £35,000–£45,000 per annum + commission

Facilities Management Solutions Ltd (FMS) helps businesses look after their buildings through planned maintenance, reactive repairs, and project delivery.

We’re looking for an exceptional Business Development Manager who can win new business, build lasting client relationships, and manage projects through to successful completion.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven business development experience and a track record of delivering results.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise, multitask, and keep commitments on track.
  • The confidence to work independently and contribute as part of a team.
  • Drive, initiative, and a determination to excel, with pride in the service you deliver.

Qualifications

  • Business development and B2B sales skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and opportunity closing.
  • Client relationship management experience, with strengths in consultation, needs assessment, and long-term account management.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain technical or service offerings in clear business terms.
  • Experience or knowledge in facilities management, property services, or related sectors, including understanding of maintenance and service contracts.
  • Solid analytical and organizational skills for preparing proposals, costing solutions, and tracking performance metrics.
  • Ability to work independently on-site, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and standard office software (e.g., MS Office) to document activities and prepare reports.
  • Relevant education in business, sales, or a related field; comparable professional experience in lieu of formal education is also valued.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to visit client sites within Milton Keynes and surrounding areas, as required.
