We're looking for a Business Development Manager

To drive profitable new business growth across the TAKKT UK cluster. You'll be responsible for developing new customer relationships, identifying opportunities across our portfolio, and introducing customers to our wide range of workplace solutions, including industrial supplies, office furniture, packaging, storage, and workplace safety products.

Working closely with our sales, marketing, category, operations, and e-commerce teams, you'll play a key role in expanding our customer base while delivering sustainable, profitable growth.

What you'll be doing

New Business Development

  • Develop and execute a targeted business development plan across priority customer segments.
  • Identify, qualify, and convert new prospects through outbound activity, networking, referrals, and strategic account development.

Commercial Growth

  • Drive profitable new business revenue while protecting margin through effective commercial negotiations.

Pipeline & Performance Management

  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and strong CRM discipline.

Market Insight & Collaboration

  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new commercial opportunities.

What we're looking for

  • A proven track record in B2B business development, ideally within industrial supplies, office furniture, packaging, workplace safety, or a related distribution environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance revenue growth and profitability.
  • Experience selling across multiple product categories or brands.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organised with a data-driven approach and confidence using CRM systems, Excel, and digital sales tools.
  • A proactive self-starter with resilience, ambition, and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

What success looks like

You'll be measured on:

  • New business revenue generated.
  • Gross margin achieved on new customer wins.
  • Pipeline growth and opportunity conversion rates.
  • Number of qualified opportunities created.
  • Cross-selling and multi-brand penetration across customer accounts.
  • Customer retention and repeat order growth from newly acquired customers.
