Business Development Manager - Parcel Services

Location: Field-based, ideally located in North West England, with a minimum of 1 day per week at our Northampton HQ.

We're a fast-growing, global organisation launching a brand-new Parcel Services proposition for UK SMEs, and we're looking for Business Development Managers to drive it. If you're a hunter who would rather build something from scratch than inherit a portfolio, love the thrill of the close, and want uncapped earning potential, we'd love to hear from you.

About Us

At J&J Global Fulfilment, we help hundreds of eCommerce brands grow and scale globally. Our team is fast, supportive, and proud of the work we do. We believe in teamwork, respect, and celebrating success together. Following a merger at the end of 2025 with QLS Group, we are building on our established presence in the UK, Europe, and the USA.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to our UK Managing Director, you'll win new SME customers and quickly build profitable parcel volume for QLS Parcel Services. The proposition is simple and compelling: we give smaller businesses access to our consolidated carrier rates across multiple carriers, plus a convenient daily collection, so they get the pricing and service levels usually reserved for much bigger shippers.

  • Target UK businesses shipping 30 - 150 parcels a day through carriers such as Royal Mail, DPD, DHL, and Evril.
  • Generate your own opportunities through outbound calls, email, LinkedIn outreach, local business networks, and face-to-face prospecting.
  • Understand each prospect's parcel profile, including volumes, carriers, domestic and international mix, current rates, and service pain points.
  • Build propositions that sell on total value, not just price.
  • Own the full sales cycle, from first conversation to first parcel shipped.
  • Keep a disciplined CRM pipeline and work closely with our Operations and Onboarding team to get new customers live fast.
  • Stay accountable through the ramp-up period, as for us success means profitable parcels shipped, not just contracts signed.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
