Business Development Manager – Verkada / Cloud Physical Security

📍 UK – Hybrid / Field Based | 1 day per week in Hull
💰 £40,000–£60,000 basic + £100,000 OTE (uncapped)

Want the opportunity to build a Verkada business rather than simply inherit a sales territory? I'm recruiting for an established UK technology solutions provider that has recently become a Verkada reseller and is making a significant investment in developing its cloud physical security offering.

They are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to take ownership of kickstarting and growing this new revenue stream.

This is a genuine build-from-the-ground-up opportunity. You'll have the autonomy to develop the market, identify the strongest verticals, create new customer relationships and establish a significant pipeline around Verkada's cloud-based physical security platform.

The opportunity

You'll be responsible for:

  • Building a new-business pipeline from the ground up
  • Winning new customers across the UK
  • Selling Verkada and intelligent physical security solutions
  • Engaging with IT, Security, Facilities, Operations and senior business leaders
  • Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through to proposal, negotiation and close
  • Selling solutions spanning cloud-managed CCTV/video security, access control, visitor management and associated technologies
  • Working alongside technical specialists and the vendor to develop compelling customer solutions
  • Helping determine which verticals and market opportunities the business should prioritise

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

There is no restriction to a particular vertical market. The focus is on finding opportunities and winning business.

Who are we looking for?

Direct Verkada experience would be highly attractive, particularly from a reseller or integrator, but it isn't essential.

I'd also be interested in speaking with successful new-business salespeople from:

  • CCTV / Video Surveillance
  • Access Control
  • Physical Security
  • Cloud Security Technology
  • IT Infrastructure
  • Networking
  • Managed Technology Services

What's more important is that you're a genuine new-business hunter who enjoys opening doors, creating opportunities and building something rather than simply managing an established account base.

Why consider it?

This is where the opportunity becomes particularly interesting. The company has successfully built and scaled other technology revenue streams and now wants to replicate that success with Verkada.

You'll be joining at the beginning. If you successfully build the Verkada business, there is genuine scope for the role to develop with it, potentially building a sales team underneath you and progressing into sales leadership.

Package:

  • £40,000–£60,000 basic, negotiable depending on experience
  • OTE: £100,000 – uncapped

Working pattern:

  • Field/hybrid with approximately 1 day per week in Hull

If you're already selling Verkada or competing physical security technology – or you're a proven technology hunter who likes the idea of building a new business within an established organisation, I'd be very interested in speaking with you.

Apply confidentially or message me directly for more information.
