Role Description
The Business Development Manager is a part-time hybrid role based in Bognor Regis, with flexibility to work from home for part of the week. The role involves:
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Nurturing relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Supporting the growth of PR and marketing services

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Researching target markets
- Preparing proposals and pitch materials
- Attending client meetings (in-person and virtual)
- Collaborating with the PR and marketing teams to align business development activities with service offerings
The Business Development Manager will also:
- Track sales pipelines
- Maintain accurate records in CRM tools
- Provide regular reports on performance and opportunities
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or account management within PR, marketing, or related professional services.
- Strong relationship-building, networking, and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, prospects, and partners.
- Ability to conduct market and competitor research and translate insights into actionable business development strategies.
- Experience preparing proposals, presentations, and pitch documents, with attention to detail and clarity of messaging.
- Comfort using CRM systems and productivity tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, online meeting platforms) to manage pipelines and report on progress.
- Understanding of public relations, media relations, and crisis communications, or willingness to learn quickly in these areas.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.
- Relevant education or training in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is beneficial.
