Business Development Manager – Electronic Security Systems

Basic up to £85,000 + £120,000 OTE (Uncapped) + Excellent Benefits & Pension - North West England (Ideally commutable to Preston | Flexible/Hybrid options available

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of the sales pipeline, driving expansion across both public and private sectors. This is a proactive, data-driven role for a commercial professional who excels at turning high-level activity into closed business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Generation: Proactively identify, qualify, and secure high-value commercial opportunities across the UK.
  • Activity-Driven Sales: Maintain high momentum across telephone outreach, virtual presentations, and in-person consultations to consistently build your pipeline.
  • Leverage Networks: Utilise your existing network of industry contacts to introduce the company’s advanced security and safety portfolio.
  • Pipeline Analytics: Apply a structured, numbers-driven approach to your sales activity, accurately tracking conversion metrics from initial outreach to close.

The Candidate

We are seeking a self-motivated "hunter" with a proven track record in electronic security and a results-oriented mentality.

Requirements:

  • Industry Background: Essential experience selling integrated electronic security and safety systems involving both hardware and software elements.
  • Sector Expertise: Direct, demonstrable experience in at least one of the following domains:
    • Commercial intruder systems
    • Access control systems
    • Lone worker or lockdown systems
    • Nurse-call systems
  • Established Network: An active, current database of sector contacts and clients ready to engage from day one.
  • Location: Based within commutable distance of the Preston office for regular collaboration. However, fully remote or flexible arrangements will be considered for exceptional candidates.
