Business Development Manager – Playground Equipment
We’re working with a highly respected playground equipment specialist that has been operating in the UK market for over 25 years. The business has built an outstanding reputation and continues to win major multi-million-pound projects with councils and local authorities across the UK.
Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to cover the South East.
The Role
This is a field-based new business and account development role, focused on building relationships with key stakeholders involved in outdoor play and public realm projects.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing relationships with local authorities, councils, housing developers, and landscape architects
- Identifying and winning new playground equipment projects
- Managing projects from initial specification through to completion
- Working closely with design and delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes
- Managing an existing pipeline whilst proactively generating new opportunities

The Candidate
We are looking for someone who understands selling into the public sector or construction-led environments.
Ideal backgrounds include:
- Playground equipment / outdoor play equipment
- Public realm or street furniture
- Landscaping products
- Construction products sold to local authorities
- Sports or leisure infrastructure

You will be:
- A strong relationship builder
- Comfortable managing longer sales cycles and tenders
- Experienced working with local authorities or public sector procurement
- Self-motivated and able to manage a regional territory
The Package
- £45,000 – £55,000 basic salary
- Realistic £20,000 OTE
- Company vehicle / allowance
- Pension and benefits
