Salary Range: £ 40,000 - £42,500 + commission up to £10,000
Work Location: Manchester (Hybrid)

Reports to: Key Account Manager
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to expand our footprint within the UK social housing sector. You will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through to tender participation, negotiation, and contract close. The role requires confidence working within the social housing landscape, managing complex procurement cycles, and engaging senior stakeholders across housing providers. Familiarity with Salesforce CRM is essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach through to signature.
- Lead discovery sessions to deeply understand operational, compliance, and customer service challenges.
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations for housing-specific needs.
- Build strong relationships with housing associations, local authorities, and ALMOs.
- Communicate with senior stakeholders such as C-suite, Heads of Service Eg I.T, Housing, Repairs Managers, and Assets & Compliance Leads.
- Manage and forecast pipeline accurately using Salesforce.
- Create structured account plans for strategic providers.
- Navigate multi-stakeholder procurement and tender processes.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams.

Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- B2B SaaS or public-sector technology sales experience.
- Success managing consultative sales cycles.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Salesforce CRM.
- Ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships.
- Highly organised, resilient, and proactive.
- Evidence of Delivery to target.
- Commutable to Manchester Centre.
Desirable
- Experience selling into social housing or UK public sector.
- Understanding of housing operations, assets, repairs, or compliance.
- Experience with tenders, RFIs, and procurement.
- Account-based selling experience.
