Salary: Competitive plus benefits
Location: Oxford Circus, London
BSPS, a successful and growing main contractor based in central London, is looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager with a few years' experience to help grow our client base. In this role, you'll:
- Identify and approach new clients across the public and private sectors, building a healthy pipeline of opportunities.
- Source new tenders, frameworks and enquiries, and help decide which ones are worth pursuing.
- Plan and host client entertaining, from lunches and events to site visits, to build lasting relationships.
- Represent BSPS at industry events, networking functions and client meetings.
- Work with colleagues across the company to put together strong tender submissions and presentations.
- Keep the clients you introduce close, so first jobs turn into repeat work.
- Keep an accurate record of leads, contacts and progress, and report regularly to the Chief of Staff.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
