About the Role

As a Hospital Business Development Manager you will lead strategic growth initiatives, expand our service lines, and strengthen partnerships to increase market share and revenue. In this pivotal role, you’ll use market insights, relationship-building skills, and commercial acumen to grow our presence, increase revenue, and ensure our services meet the evolving needs of our community.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and referral sources.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and patient demographics to inform growth strategies.
  • Collaborate with clinical and executive leadership to expand service lines and improve program offerings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with physicians, payers, and community stakeholders.
  • Develop and present business proposals, financial models, and growth plans.
  • Track performance metrics and adjust strategies to meet revenue and volume targets.
  • Support contract negotiations and partnership agreements.

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare business development, hospital operations, or strategic planning.
  • Strong financial acumen and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, reimbursement models, and market dynamics.

About Wessex Hospital

Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital is a stunning 46 bedded private hospital in West Hampshire with specialisms in Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, Women’s Health, and Spinal surgery. The hospital also benefits from having onsite Radiology, Pathology, Pharmacy, and Physiotherapy so we can give our patients a complete package of care. There are 16 consulting rooms with speciality outpatient rooms, 46 private patient bedrooms with en-suite facilities, 24-hour resident doctor on site (RMO), and four operating theatres and one endoscopy suite.
