Business Development Manager | £35,000 + monthly commission | Leading AI EdTech Company
Connecting Education is delighted to be partnering with a leading AI EdTech company to find their first sales hire: a Business Development Manager who will build uptake of their platform across Multi-Academy Trusts in the UK, with some international selling too.
Our client has built an AI product that is already making a real difference in schools, and is now ready to take it to market at scale. This is a rare chance to get in at the ground floor, with real influence over how the company sells, which trusts it wins and how its commercial team grows.
What you'll be doing:
- Building and owning a new business pipeline across UK MATs, from first call to contract
- Engaging trust CEOs, COOs and digital leads on how AI can save time and raise outcomes
- Upselling and cross selling memberships to MATs on single site or single user memberships
- Developing international opportunities alongside the core UK focus
- Shaping the sales process, messaging and CRM from the ground up
- Feeding customer insight back to the founders to help shape the roadmap
- Representing the company at conferences, events and trust visits

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
