Area Sales / Business Development Manager - Southern Area inc London
Due to incredible success at Security Solutions, we have an amazing opportunity for someone to join our friendly, dedicated, and dynamic sales team at one of the UK’s market leaders in automated physical security products. Security Solutions is one of the UK's leading SME manufacturers and installers of perimeter security equipment. We offer a complete range of services including the manufacture, installation, maintenance, and service of new and existing equipment. With our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, we have established ourselves as a trusted name in the industry.
We're looking for a driven and commercially minded sales professional to grow our presence across the Southern region, including London. You'll focus on generating new business, developing existing customer relationships and selling our products and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) contracts, while managing the full sales cycle from identifying opportunities to successfully closing sales. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, you'll take ownership of your geographical area, building strong customer relationships, identifying new opportunities and delivering tailored solutions with exceptional customer service. Experience in the physical security industry isn't essential, but previous sales experience is required. We welcome applications from candidates with backgrounds in Area Sales Management, Business Development, Territory Sales, Sales Executive, Pre-Sales, Commercial Sales or Recruitment.

Responsibilities
- Primarily business development, but with aspects of account management and customer retention.
- The role is to research, identify and generate new sales opportunities online, via email, in-person and over the telephone.
- Effective territory planning and implementation
- Educate customers on the value of the products and services offered by Security Solutions
- Assisting customers with their questions, resolving queries, and providing information via calls & emails.
- Responsible for generating new business from new and existing customers.
- Developing new sales opportunities using outbound cold emails, phone calls and lead follow ups.
- Production, issuing and following up on quotations until conclusions are provided.
- The daily updating and working from an in-house CRM system
- Purely office based at Security Solutions Bolton head office
- Influencing and closing deals.
- Production of reports against agreed KPI’s - contacts made, enquiries received, quotes produced and ordered placed..
- Working within Security Solutions H&S and code of conduct policies

Qualifications and Skills
- The successful candidate will preferably have a min of 2 years’ experience in an external sales environment handling product based and consultative sales.
- Sales training preferable.
- Understanding of the Sales Cycle and Process
- A confident telephone manner, excellent written and verbal communication skills and good attention to detail
- Experience in product and solution-based sales would be desirable
- Ability to work on own initiative to achieve monthly targets.
- A “can do” attitude who looks to provide solutions.
- Up selling and cross selling experience desirable
- Live on patch,
- Travel to our Bolton office will be required.
