Business Development Manager
Liquid Handling/Lab Automation
Remote, based in Europe (ideally Germany/UK/Benelux/Nordics)
Open to a permanent or consultant hire
This company are revolutionising QC for automated liquid handling. This is their FIRST commercial hire, and offers a truly unique chance to get in early doors and make a huge impact.
This isn't another large corporate territory manager position. This is an opportunity to join an innovator (and great team!) at a pivotal stage of growth and become a key part of their future success.
The Role:
- Become the first dedicated commercial hire in a growing scientific start-up
- Influence commercial strategy and help shape the future organisation
- Engage directly with leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies
- Manage opportunities from initial engagement through to successful adoption
- Deliver demonstrations, customer evaluations and scientific presentations
- Gather customer feedback and translate market requirements back to the development team
- Represent the business at conferences, exhibitions and customer sites across Europe
- Potential future progression into senior commercial leadership as the company scales

What We're Looking For:
We're interested in speaking with individuals who combine scientific curiosity with commercial drive.
You may currently be working as a:
- Technical Sales Specialist
- Scientific Sales Specialist
- Account Manager
- Business Development Manager
- Commercial Lead
- Territory Manager within life science tools or laboratory automation
Experience in any of the following areas would be highly attractive:
- Drug discovery
- Laboratory automation
- Liquid handling
- Life science instrumentation
- Screening technologies
- Automation platforms

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable engaging with scientists, researchers and commercial stakeholders
- Passionate about technology and problem solving
- Happy travelling extensively across customer sites and events
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the desire to make a tangible impact
- Thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative environment
