At Goodwood, we don't just host meetings and events, we create unforgettable experiences. We're looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Business Development Manager to help drive new business and revenue growth across our exceptional Estate.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive sales professional who loves building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and converting conversations into long-term partnerships. With a primary focus on our thriving Meetings & Events business, you'll work with organisations ranging from corporate clients and event agencies to private members' clubs and industry partners, helping them create extraordinary events in an extraordinary setting.
What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of the Estate Sales team, you'll be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities while expanding our corporate client portfolio.
You'll:
- Drive new business growth across corporate meetings, conferences, leadership retreats, team-building events, reward and recognition programmes, and corporate celebrations.
- Proactively prospect, network, and engage with new clients through meetings, referrals, social selling, and industry events.
- Build strong relationships with corporate decision-makers, event agencies, clubs, and key industry contacts.
- Attend exhibitions, trade shows, conferences, and networking events to generate new opportunities and increase Goodwood's profile.
- Create and execute strategic account plans to maximise revenue growth and long-term client engagement.
- Cross-sell the diverse range of experiences, venues, and services available across the Goodwood Estate.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the business to create compelling proposals and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline, accurate forecasting, and CRM records to ensure business objectives are achieved.
- Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity, and customer demands to identify emerging opportunities.

You'll be:

What You'll Need
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a commercial role.
- A strong track record of generating new business and delivering revenue growth.
- Experience within hospitality, events, leisure, luxury brands, or a related sector would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and develop revenue opportunities.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a high-performing team.
- An understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
