Business Development Manager
Location: Remote / Field-based
Salary: £50,000+ base
OTE: £100,000 + uncapped commission
Travel: Regular UK travel
The Opportunity
Mor Search has been exclusively appointed to help a fast-growing business hire its next Business Development Manager.
The business provides portable phone charging solutions to some of the UK’s biggest events, venues, sporting organisations and brands. They help keep audiences connected while creating a useful, highly visible platform for brands to engage with customers.
The business already works with some seriously recognisable names, including:
- Nissan
- McLaren
- Samsung
- Virgin Media O2
- O2
- PDC
- Silverstone
- The Jockey Club
- NTT DATA
- Zapp
- Edgbaston
- Burghley
They’re now looking for a Business Development Manager to help take the business into its next phase of growth.
The Role
This is a genuine new business role. You’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities, opening doors, building relationships and taking prospects through the full sales cycle.
You’ll be selling into sectors including:
- Events and festivals
- Sporting venues and organisations
- Hospitality
- Entertainment
- Major venues and attractions
- Brands and commercial partners
You’ll be expected to build your own pipeline, get out into the market, meet decision-makers face-to-face and close new business.

This is a remote / field-based position, giving you the freedom to manage your own diary while spending significant time with customers and prospects across the UK.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Identify and target new business opportunities
- Generate your own pipeline through outbound activity, networking and relationship building
- Own the sales process from initial conversation through to close
- Build relationships with senior decision-makers
- Arrange and lead face-to-face meetings and presentations
- Attend events and industry opportunities
- Develop new commercial partnerships
- Identify opportunities across existing accounts
- Negotiate and close commercial agreements
- Maintain accurate pipeline information in the CRM
- Consistently deliver against revenue targets
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is commercially hungry and enjoys winning new business.
You’ll ideally have:
- 3–5 years’ B2B sales / business development experience
- A proven track record of winning new business
- Experience consistently hitting or exceeding targets
- Confidence generating your own leads and managing a full sales cycle
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- The ability to build relationships quickly with senior stakeholders
- Experience using a CRM
- A proactive, self-starting approach
- The willingness to spend significant time out meeting customers
- A full UK driving licence
