Business Development Manager - Consultancy/Agency Experience
Role Overview
Our client is a leading digital transformation consultancy delivering human-centred design, software engineering, data and AI solutions across both public and private sector organisations. With a growing portfolio of clients and ambitious expansion plans, they are looking to appoint a commercially driven Business Development Manager to help accelerate new business growth.
This role is ideal for an experienced outbound sales professional who thrives on opening doors, building relationships and creating opportunities. You'll focus on identifying and engaging prospective clients, executing targeted outreach campaigns, generating qualified opportunities and creating a strong pipeline for the wider commercial team.
Working closely with the Business Development Director, you'll gain exposure to complex consultancy sales cycles while developing the skills required to progress into full deal ownership. This position offers a structured pathway into a more strategic business development role, providing significant scope for professional growth and future leadership opportunities.
As the organisation continues to scale, this role has been designed as a key talent pipeline, with long-term opportunities to take ownership of larger accounts, manage sectors and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
