Khan Marketing Group supplies a wide range of products to major independent retailers and wholesalers across the UK and international markets. The customer base includes independent Spar, Costcutter, Premier, Select & Save, and Londis stores, serving both group members and independently owned businesses. The company focuses on toiletries and health & beauty items, offering a constantly expanding selection to meet evolving consumer demand. Khan Marketing Group is committed to providing high-demand, profitable products that help retail partners grow sales and improve margins.

Role Description

The Business Development Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Birmingham, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities with independent retailers and wholesalers, as well as strengthening relationships with existing clients. The Business Development Manager will collaborate with internal teams to align product offerings with market needs, monitor competitor activity, and provide regular performance reports. The role also involves attending industry events as needed to build networks and support the company’s growth strategy.

Qualifications

  • Strong sales and business development skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and deal negotiation.
  • Account management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to maintain and grow long-term customer partnerships.
  • Market analysis and strategic planning skills, including the ability to identify trends and develop growth strategies in the retail and wholesale sectors.
  • Communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize workloads in a hybrid work environment.

Experience in FMCG, toiletries, or health & beauty products, ideally within independent retail or wholesale channels, is highly beneficial.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and basic office software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is preferred.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in sales, marketing, or business is desirable, along with a valid right to work in the UK.
