Business Development Manager – Construction & B2B

Ideal location: Andover, Salisbury, Southampton and surrounding areas (A303 Corridor)
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 basic + uncapped bonus
OTE: £70,000–£90,000+
Type: Full-time

Are you a proactive, field-based Business Development professional who loves winning new business? Our client is growing and is looking for an ambitious, driven and personable Business Development Manager to expand their presence across the construction and wider B2B markets.

This is not a desk-based sales role. You’ll be out meeting people, building relationships, uncovering opportunities and turning them into successful projects across the South West, South Wales, South East, London, Midlands and beyond.

Services you’ll be promoting include:

  • Structured Data Cabling
  • Fibre & Blown Fibre
  • Audio Visual
  • Network Infrastructure
  • Security & CCTV
  • Wi‑Fi / WLAN
  • Data Centre Solutions

The Role

You’ll take ownership of developing new business and growing existing relationships, managing the full business development journey—from first contact and meetings through to securing projects and supporting a smooth handover to delivery teams. You’ll work closely with Estimating, Project Management, QS and Engineering to ensure opportunities are correctly scoped, priced, negotiated and delivered.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
