Role: Business Development Manager
We are looking for a Business Development Manager focused on new business acquisition, with occasional account stewardship activities. You will be responsible for delivering profitable new business growth of Leisure CryoEase Systems and/or Leisure gases cylinder supply via Air Products direct or agents of Air Products. As the Leisure BDM you will be responsible for all elements of the new business acquisition including the on-site equipment survey and should network effectively with colleagues from all other business functions including Sales Support, Planning & Distribution, Engineering, Credit Management, Marketing, Account Management teams, all business support teams, and working parties as required.

Responsibilities:
- Proactive sales of Leisure CryoEase Systems and Leisure cylinder gases to new customers, through the development of product and market knowledge in the Leisure and Licensed drinks gases market sectors we serve.
- Achievement of personal revenue, volume, and profitability targets.
- Active management of key Leisure customer pre-defined by the Leisure Business Manager, including price negotiations, re-contracting, winning organic growth opportunities, and general account query resolution.
- Compliance with standard installation guidelines for Leisure CryoEase Systems to ensure adherence to Air Products safety policies and costs are maintained within pre-evaluated guidelines.
- Use of CRM tool to maintain a healthy prospect pipeline, record call activities, and process new business acquisition.
- Field-based activities are expected to equate to approximately 75% of the BDM’s time.
Requirements:
- Strong commercial focus and good negotiation skills are essential.
- Demonstrable track record & prior experience of new business sales experience in a business-to-business environment.
- Self-motivated and self-directed with a desire and proven ability to achieve within a target-driven environment.
- Possession of a driving license valid in the UK.
- Good team skills and capability of successfully developing win/win situations with peers.
- High energy individual, willing to travel extensively within allocated area to maximize effective use of time.
- Use of IT to enhance communication, business analysis, and growth opportunities, which include but are not limited to: Microsoft Office, CRM tool, SAP, and Pricing tools.
