Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid Business Development Manager role based in the UK. The Business Development Manager will drive new business growth by identifying prospects, developing relationships with corporate and SME clients, and promoting Pacific Prime’s health and employee benefits solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting, managing a sales pipeline, conducting client meetings and presentations, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts in collaboration with internal teams. The role will also involve maintaining strong relationships with insurers and partners, monitoring market trends and competitor activities, and providing accurate reporting and forecasts to leadership. The Business Development Manager is expected to work closely with marketing, operations, and client servicing teams to ensure a seamless experience for clients and help achieve regional sales targets.

  • Business development and sales skills, including prospecting, lead qualification, pipeline management, negotiation, and closing deals.
  • Relationship management capabilities to build and sustain long-term partnerships with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex insurance and employee benefits concepts in clear, accessible language.
  • Analytical and commercial skills to interpret market trends, assess client needs, develop tailored solutions, and prepare accurate forecasts.
  • Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple opportunities, meet deadlines, and maintain detailed records in CRM or similar systems.
  • Experience in insurance, employee benefits, financial services, or related B2B environments is highly beneficial.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and common business productivity tools; familiarity with CRM platforms is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site and off-site in a productive manner.
  • Knowledge of domestic UK market preferred, with the role providing opportunities both in the UK and abroad.
  • Understanding of broad spectrum of benefits including, medical, cash plans, life, income protection, critical illness, business travel, among others, an advantage.
