Business Development Manager
As a Business Development Manager at Impel, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our customer base and revenue. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and engage with potential clients, understand their needs, and demonstrate how our software solutions can address their challenges effectively.
Responsibilities
- Product Strategy: Define the product vision, goals, and roadmap for the AI chat bot based on market research, user feedback, and business objectives. Identify target user segments and understand their needs and pain points.
- Project Management: Plan and coordinate the entire product development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment. Set priorities, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery of milestones and product releases.
- User Experience: Collaborate with user experience designers to create intuitive and engaging conversational interfaces. Drive the design and implementation of natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning algorithms to improve the chat bot's ability to understand and respond to user queries effectively.
- Data Analysis: Work closely with engineers to define key metrics and implement data collection mechanisms to track user behavior and chat bot performance. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, such as executives, developers, and marketers, to ensure alignment on product goals, progress, and challenges. Act as a liaison between different teams, managing expectations and resolving conflicts.
- Competitive Analysis: Conduct regular assessments of the competitive landscape to identify industry trends, benchmark against competing products, and recommend strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Product Launch and Adoption: Develop go-to-market plans and collaborate with marketing and sales teams to drive product awareness and adoption. Provide training and documentation to support internal teams and external users in utilizing the chat bot effectively.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor user feedback and conduct usability tests to identify areas for enhancement and iterate on the product. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices in AI and chat bot development to drive innovation and stay ahead of the curve.

- Proven track record in software sales.
- Good knowledge of the Automotive market. Specific automotive retailer experience would be beneficial.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional negotiation and closing abilities.
- Technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn and understand complex software solutions.
- Self-motivated and target-driven.
