Are you an experienced Business Development Manager within financial services who enjoys building relationships, winning new business and developing opportunities?

I’m currently recruiting for an established organisation that is looking to strengthen its commercial team with an experienced BDM.

The Role

This is a great opportunity for someone who is commercially minded, confident speaking with senior stakeholders and enjoys having ownership of their own relationships and pipeline.

You’ll be responsible for developing new business, building relationships and identifying opportunities within the market.

You’ll have plenty of autonomy in the role and will be expected to manage your own activity, develop a strong pipeline and build lasting relationships with key external contacts.

You’ll be involved in:

  • Developing and converting new business opportunities
  • Building and maintaining strong external relationships
  • Identifying new opportunities and areas for growth
  • Managing your own sales pipeline and activity
  • Keeping up to date with market developments
  • Building awareness of the organisation and its offering within the market
  • Working closely with internal teams to support business growth
  • Presenting to and engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Negotiating and influencing effectively
  • Planning and prioritising your own workload
  • Sharing market insight and contributing to the wider commercial team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
