Business Development Manager / Head of Sales - Digital Marketing Agency - Essex / remote
A Digital Marketing Agency are looking for someone to head up their Sales, Business Development, New Business, Growth (and whatever else we're calling it).
You'll be the sole person in the team and going about generating new business and closing inbound leads and enquiries.
As an agency they work across SEO (main offering), PPC, Paid Media, Social Media, Content, Email Marketing, Web Design & Development, and Digital PR, for a range of different sectors in B2B and B2C. We need someone who has a real understanding of digital marketing and agency experience.

Role overview:
- Prospecting and self-generate opportunities via cold calling, LinkedIn, email, networking, events, your own network, and by any other means. This probably constitutes 60-70% of the role.
- Close inbound leads from company enquiries page, in-house generated leads, and leads from 3rd party sources (they currently work with a lead gen and email marketing agency).
- Work closely with Director of the business and heads of departments/channel experts on pitches and tailored proposals.
- Implement processes, keep on top of pipeline, develop current new business and sales strategy. Full autonomy over this will be given.

Ideally looking for someone who can show experience of closing deal sizes around £8-15K+ monthly retainers within agencies.
Compensation:
- Salary £55-65K + additional £25-40K in commission.
- Company offices are based in Essex and typically employees do 2 days a week in office. This is negotiable for the right person and they would consider someone further afield who is more remote.
