About Us
Here at Mystery Shoppers Ltd (MSL), we are on a mission to improve customer experiences all over the world. We send people to businesses to act as real customers. Mystery shopping provides ongoing clarity on service standards and motivates teams to continuously deliver a great experience for every customer, every time.
Now before you get too excited, we don’t just spend our time shopping all day! Here at Mystery Shoppers HQ, we work behind the scenes to arrange for members of the public who have signed up with us as mystery shoppers, to go to our client's locations (banks, shops, railway stations etc.) at the right time, and once they’ve spent some time interacting with staff, they fill in their feedback questionnaire. We then read through it to make sure it’s of a good quality, before we submit it to the client and provide them with ways in which they can improve.
We work in all industries, and have carried out all sorts of types of mystery shopping, from the classic burger orders to lengthy mortgage applications. Anywhere a customer experience exists, whether in person, on the phone or online, you will find us promoting positive customer experiences!
We are a medium-sized, family-run business and have been going for 35 years. Our HQ is in Holsworthy, Devon.
Much of our success so far has come through reactive sales and word of mouth; and currently, we're struggling to keep up with all the inbound enquiries we receive!
Our way of working is consultative, thoughtful and partnership-led. We do not believe in hard sales. We believe in real conversations, listening properly, and delivering genuine value to our clients.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
