Business Development Manager - B2B
Hampton
£48,000 – £53,000 + Uncapped Commission + Company Car/Allowance
Permanent | Full-time
Are you an experienced Business Development professional with a strong track record of generating and winning new business? Our client is an established and highly regarded organisation looking for a proactive, relationship-focused Business Development Manager to join their growing commercial team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys opening doors, building relationships, and taking ownership of opportunities from initial prospecting through to successful close.
You will be responsible for generating your own pipeline, identifying and developing new business opportunities, and building relationships with prospective clients across a broad range of industries. This is a consultative sales environment where understanding each client's individual requirements is key. You'll work closely with prospective customers to understand their needs before developing tailored commercial solutions.
You do not need previous fleet or vehicle leasing experience. We are keen to speak with successful Business Development professionals from wider B2B environments who can demonstrate a strong track record of personally generating and winning new business. The majority of prospective client meetings are conducted via Teams, with travel required for face-to-face client meetings, events, and other business requirements where appropriate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
