Sales Executive – Cross-Border Payments
Location: London
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Salary: £45,000–£60,000 base | £100,000+ OTE
Certus Recruitment is working with a profitable and growing FCA-authorised payments business looking to add an experienced Sales Executive to its London team.
About the Role
Direct cross-border/international payments sales experience is ESSENTIAL.
We're looking for someone who already understands the world of international payments – multicurrency accounts, SWIFT/SEPA, FX, payment corridors, correspondent banking and the challenges corporate customers face when moving money internationally.
If your background is purely general SaaS, FinTech or domestic payments, unfortunately this won't be the right role.
This is a new-business sales position with a clear focus on finding, winning and developing corporate customers. You'll be responsible for:

- Building your own pipeline
- Prospecting and opening new corporate accounts
- Managing the complete sales cycle
- Winning new cross-border payments customers
- Developing a profitable client portfolio
- Identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Maintaining strong pipeline and forecasting discipline
We're particularly interested in salespeople who have sold international payment, FX or multicurrency solutions and can demonstrate a strong record of personally originating and closing corporate business.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Pipeline Management: Generate and manage your own sales pipeline.
- Prospecting: Identify and engage potential corporate clients.
- Sales Cycle Management: Oversee the full sales process from initial contact to closing deals.
- Customer Acquisition: Secure new cross-border payments customers.
- Portfolio Development: Build and maintain a profitable client base.
- Opportunity Identification: Discover and capitalize on upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Forecasting and Planning: Keep a robust sales pipeline and adhere to forecasting standards.

Requirements
- Cross-border/international payments sales experience
- Corporate/B2B payments experience
- Proven new-business/hunter track record
- Experience generating your own pipeline and closing business
