Business Development Manager
Location: London, UK
Convene Hospitality Group (CHG) operates a global portfolio of lifestyle brands focused on creating places and experiences that bring people together. The company designs, develops, and operates hospitality-driven destinations to host gatherings of all kinds, ranging from small corporate meetings to immersive brand activations and beyond. We love bringing people together in person, and that passion for great experiences extends to our employees as well. If you're interested in creating inspiring moments of connection, consider joining our team.
The Role
We're seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Business Development team as a dedicated "hunter," focused entirely on expanding our footprint across the corporate and association sectors and third-party production companies. You'll build the top of the sales funnel with high-value leads for the sales team to close.
This is a purely proactive, new-business role covering the UK and London's key inbound international markets. It calls for research, strategic and tactical sales activity, networking, and engagement with the wider event-tourism ecosystem. You'll be responsible for generating your own pipeline and securing qualified RFPs from sectors, brands, and organisations that have never hosted events in the Convene and etc.venues portfolio or reactivating those that have lapsed for 12 months or more.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
