UK Professional Guarding Limited (UKPGL) is a technology-enabled security, concierge, and facilities support provider delivering managed security services across the UK. The company combines experienced security professionals with real-time operational visibility and data-led intelligence to create safer environments, stronger compliance, and accountable service outcomes. Services include security guarding, concierge and front of house, key holding and alarm response, mobile patrols, CCTV monitoring, access control, and integrated facilities support. Through its Secure360™ operating model, UKPGL connects people, processes, technology, and intelligence to provide transparent, well-managed security operations. UKPGL is an ACS Approved Contractor and holds recognised accreditations such as ISO 9001, SafeContractor, Cyber Essentials, and RISQS, supporting organisations in commercial property, real estate, infrastructure, and other complex environments.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The Business Development Manager will identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across target sectors, including commercial property, real estate, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Managing the sales pipeline
- Preparing tailored proposals and bids aligned with UKPGL’s Secure360™ model and technology-enabled services
- Conducting market research
- Attending client meetings and industry events
- Collaborating with operations and marketing teams to refine service offerings
- Supporting contract negotiations to ensure sustainable, compliant, and profitable growth
- Monitoring performance against sales targets
- Contributing to continuous improvement in business development processes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within security, facilities management, or related service industries.
- Strong skills in lead generation, pipeline management, and opportunity qualification, with the ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Ability to build and sustain client relationships, conduct effective client presentations, and negotiate commercial terms with diverse stakeholders.
- Comfort with technology-enabled services, including understanding data-driven solutions, digital platforms, and integrated security or facilities systems.
- Solid analytical and research abilities to assess market trends, competitor activity, and client needs in complex operating environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to produce clear proposals, bids, and reports.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Experience working to recognised standards and accreditations (e.g., ISO 9001, ACS, SafeContractor, Cyber Essentials, RISQS) is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, marketing, or a related field.
