We are looking for someone who can properly sell. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Location
Based at our Leeds office, three days a week in with the team. Some remote working is fine for the rest of the week.
What you will be doing
- Identifying and approaching new prospects across our target sectors
- Owning outreach from first contact through to pitch, comfortable picking up the phone as well as messaging
- Presenting WWG's services with confidence, whether that is a video call, an in person meeting or from a stage
- Building a personal network across the events, production and broadcast world
- Working with the wider team to shape proposals and pricing for new opportunities
- Keeping the pipeline accurate and up to date in our CRM
What we are looking for
- A proven track record in new business or agency sales, ideally within events, production, broadcast or a related creative field
- Genuine confidence on the phone, not someone who avoids it
- Strong presence in a room and on screen, someone we would be comfortable putting in front of a client with little notice
- Several years of relevant experience
- A well rounded, personable character, as much at ease building relationships informally as pitching formally
- Resilience and self motivation, comfortable creating opportunities rather than waiting for them
