About The Role

In this full-time, Monday to Friday role, you will work alongside a fun and experienced team as a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, developing and implementing growth strategies, and building strong relationships with customers in your territory spanning across the South Islands based out of Christchurch.

Responsibilities

  • Own your region, delivering revenue and GP growth through a strategic sales plan.
  • Generate leads, pursue and grow your customer base across key industry sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with customers at all levels, delivering a WOW customer experience every time through regular visits.
  • Act as the key point of contact for major projects, tenders, and supplier agreements from opportunity to execution.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyse results, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional service, resolve issues promptly, and strengthen customer partnerships while maintaining high service levels and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Sales experience driving business growth, within the construction and infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organised with planning and time management skills.
  • Commercially minded and confident managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting through to account growth.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work autonomously and use CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) to manage pipeline and performance.
