The Role
Reporting to the Business Development Director, this role will be part of the Portfolio & Business Development team, responsible for identifying, negotiating and concluding business deals whilst utilising internal stakeholder groups such as R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, Legal, Finance, Pharmacovigilance, Quality and Operations to propose new partnership opportunities.
This is an exciting time to join the Portfolio & Business Development team as they continue to play an intrinsic part of Rosemont’s expansion plans by seeking opportunities for portfolio development and development/licensing opportunities.
The successful applicant needs to be based in the UK and will occasionally be required to attend meetings in our Leeds office.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a business development ‘wish list’ and actively seeks new product ideas that will build value for Rosemont and patients with swallowing difficulties.
- Internal collaboration across the matrix, data-based assessments of market opportunities and bringing external insights to Rosemont.
- Generation and approval of business cases, along with 10yr NPV model. Key stakeholders include but not limited to; Business Development, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Quality and Marketing.
- Utilise and build an external network that creates new business opportunities including: In-licencing new products for the global portfolio – As finished dose or technology transfer to Rosemont or Contract Manufacturing Organisation and where appropriate, out-licencing of Rosemont assets to commercial partners in defined territories.
- Collaborate closely with the Business Development Director to ensure a flow of new entries into our Stage Gate process. In collaboration this role will lead the Stage Gate submission process for business development.
- Ensure a high level of stakeholder engagement is maintained and an appropriate business case is developed, including financials for each new deal and/or development project.
- Provide regular reporting on a timely basis including account performance, risk and opportunities and future forecasts.
- Attending industry conferences to identify new opportunities.

About You
- Proven experience in Business Development in the pharmaceutical industry. Minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry and 2 years Business Development experience.
- Experience in BD deals/suppliers of medicine and a demonstrable network of contacts.
- Proven history demonstrating strength in areas such as Collaboration, Negotiation, Strategic Analysis, Priority Setting and Continual Improvement.
- Strong commercial and analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and insights.
- Confident communicator with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
