BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER | MICROSOFT PARTNER £60,000-£65,000 Basic + Double OTE + £5,000 Car Allowance South (Midlands or Home Counties/London) | Hybrid
The difference between a good new-business role and a frustrating one is what happens after you open the door.
This opportunity gives you a broad proposition, experienced technical support and the ability to build genuinely consultative conversations with prospective customers.
The business is an established Microsoft Partner with capabilities across:
- Managed IT and Infrastructure
- Cyber Security
- Cloud Services
- Modern Workplace
- Data, Business Intelligence and AI
- Automation
- Consultancy and Professional Services
That breadth gives you several ways into a customer. You could initially engage them around their IT support, a cyber security concern, a cloud project or a Modern Workplace requirement, before uncovering wider opportunities across their technology environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You will not be expected to scope every element yourself. A strong technical team will complement your own new-business activity, supporting discovery, solution design and proposal development while you focus on opening doors, developing senior relationships and leading the commercial process.
The position is focused on winning new logos. You will identify and approach prospective customers, create your own pipeline and manage opportunities from the first conversation through to negotiation and close.
They need somebody who can look beyond a basic product conversation, understand what a customer is trying to achieve and bring the right internal specialists into the process. The strength of the wider portfolio gives you the opportunity to solve more substantial problems and create more commercially valuable relationships.
