North East England | Field-based | Radiology Technology
Business Development Manager with Account Manager responsibilities: a territory with nobody's fingerprints on it yet.
Most sales jobs hand you a spreadsheet of existing accounts and ask you to keep the lights on. This one doesn't.
Our client is a global healthcare technology business with a serious radiology and digital imaging portfolio. They're building out their North East presence and need someone to go and find the business, not wait for it to arrive. Roughly 80% of your time is prospecting, opening doors and building pipeline. The other 20% is looking after the customers you already have.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What you'd be doing:
- Growing a digital radiology portfolio across NHS and private healthcare providers.
- Mapping customer organisations properly (who signs, who influences, who quietly blocks) and building relationships with all of them.
- Writing account plans that go beyond "keep in touch".
- Having commercial conversations that challenge how a customer currently thinks, rather than just quoting against a spec.

- Radiology or medical imaging experience is ideal, if you have a clinical background with some commercial experience, perhaps in a technical or engineering role, please still reach out.
