Citrus Recruit are proud to be partnering exclusively with a well-established and growing organisation to recruit a Business Development Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and take ownership of launching and growing a specialist range of laser welding, laser cleaning and cutting equipment across the UK market.
Holding exclusive UK distribution rights for this innovative technology, the business is seeking a driven sales professional who can identify opportunities, build long-term customer relationships, and develop a successful market presence. This role offers significant autonomy, allowing you to influence the commercial strategy while managing the entire sales journey from prospecting through to order completion.
The ideal candidate will have experience selling technical products within the manufacturing, engineering, welding, fabrication, laser technology, or industrial machinery sectors, coupled with a proven track record of generating new business and driving revenue growth.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Introducing and expanding the market presence of an innovative laser welding and laser cleaning product range.
- Identifying, targeting and securing new business opportunities throughout the UK.
- Building and implementing a strategic sales plan to maximise territory performance and revenue growth.
- Collaborating closely with technical and engineering colleagues to develop a comprehensive understanding of the product capabilities and applications.
- Generating, nurturing and converting sales opportunities through proactive business development activity.
- Managing incoming enquiries, assessing customer requirements and preparing tailored proposals and quotations.
- Presenting product demonstrations and technical solutions to prospective clients across sectors including industrial manufacturing, automotive and medical.
- Negotiating commercial terms and successfully securing new customer orders.
- Representing the company at trade exhibitions, networking events and industry conferences.
Skills & experience required

- Sales/ Business Development experience within Laser cutting/Welding, or Similar welding products or Engineering
- Proven track record of bringing on new business and growing accounts
- Full driving license and happy to travel
