Business Development Manager (100% New Business / Hunter), Bury, £45k-£55k (DOE), + uncapped commission

Industry: Packaging Manufacturing

Location: Bury / Hybrid / Regional Coverage

Are you a relentless deal-closer who thrives on opening new doors and building high-value B2B pipelines from scratch? My Client, part of a rapidly growing business, are expanding their commercial footprint and looking for a target-driven Business Development Manager to lead their outbound growth across the packaging manufacturing sector.

This is a pure hunter role designed for a sales professional who loves the thrill of winning new accounts, negotiating high-volume supply contracts, and leaving account maintenance to someone else.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify, target, and secure high-value commercial clients across target verticals (FMCG, e-commerce, food & beverage, logistics).
  • Own the full outbound sales cycle from cold prospecting, discovery, and site visits to technical proposals and contract execution.
  • Partner with internal designers to present bespoke, sustainable, and cost-optimised packaging solutions to procurement leaders.
  • Consistently build and manage a pipeline to hit and exceed revenue targets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
