DHL Supply Chain is the world's leading logistics company, and our Business Development team is at the forefront of driving growth and innovation.
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager
To join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping our future growth. This is a newly created position within our fast-paced Consumer and Convenience environment, focused on securing and delivering major transformational opportunities for new customers. The role will involve developing dedicated warehousing solutions for new customers. It could also include the construction of new facilities, as well as the repurposing and optimisation of existing properties to meet customer requirements.

✅What You'll Do
- Develop and leverage constructive relationships within target customers to gain access to key decision makers and establish networks within these customer leads.
- Continuously review business potential and identify potential business opportunities.
- Drive through major transformation deals for new customers, encompassing dedicated warehouse solutions, redevelopment of existing properties, and potentially the construction of new customer facilities.
- Collaborate with internal functions that support the sales process including Solution Design, Operations, HR, IT, Real Estate, Legal, Finance, and gather required input and coordinate actions. Plus working closely with customer operations teams to ensure quality and improve performance.
- Pro-actively identify opportunities within target accounts and answer incoming RFQs plus mapping and assess stakeholders within assigned target accounts.
- Conduct internal and external research to identify customer's supply chain requirements and business objectives.
- With your ability to forge strong relationships with new and existing customers, you'll help us maintain our “Customer for Life” ethos, while building a pipeline of exciting new business opportunities.

✅What You'll Bring
- Demonstratable experience winning new business within a complex large organisation with understanding of bid and tender sales lifecycle.
- A strong understanding of, and experience working within consumer and convenience supply chains.
- Proven experience of driving transformational deals for new customers.
- Previous sales experience within FMCG or Consumer logistics and supply chain delivering Medium to large size deals and multiple opportunities.
- Experience in managing projects and complex sales cycles but with the ability of creating opportunities outside of a bid cycle.
- Experience of selling Shared User Warehousing within supply chain and some exposure of Dedicated new property Warehouse environments.
- Possess strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels.
- Must be results-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
- Have a strategic mindset and a passion for building long-term partnerships.
- Desirable – FMCG or Consumer experience in a direct industry sales role.
