Business Development Manager – Expert Access Solutions ltd

Location: Hybrid / Field-based

Department: Sales

Reports to: Managing Director

Company: Expert Access Solutions (EAS)

Working pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with regular field-based travel to client sites and meetings as required.

Territory: UK-based, with a focus on developing opportunities across agreed target sectors and regions.

We work across a wide range of manufacturers and technologies, supporting customers with compliant, reliable and high-quality solutions. As the business continues to grow, we are looking to strengthen our commercial capability with a proactive, driven sales professional.

Role Purpose

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new business growth while developing existing customer relationships. The role focuses on selling installation, service and maintenance solutions for automatic and industrial doors across commercial, retail, healthcare, education and public sector environments.

This role works closely with engineering, operations and finance teams to ensure solutions are accurately scoped, competitively priced and delivered to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within target markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Promote EAS services including installation projects, service contracts and remedial works.
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle: lead generation, site surveys, proposals, negotiation and close.
  • Develop, manage and report on a clear sales pipeline, working towards agreed revenue, margin and activity targets.
  • Monitor performance against agreed KPIs, including new business activity, conversion rates, customer retention and contract growth.
  • Work closely with engineers and operations to ensure accurate scoping and pricing.
  • Prepare and present quotations and tenders in line with company standards.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and provide sales forecasts.
  • Represent EAS professionally and consistently in line with company values.
  • Ensure all sales activity and proposed solutions are aligned with relevant health and safety requirements, compliance standards and industry best practice.
  • Attend client meetings, networking events and industry-related activity as required.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally within automatic doors, access systems, construction, facilities management, building services or a related technical sector.
  • Experience selling technical, engineering, construction or facilities-related services.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building ability.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for client meetings, site visits, networking events and industry-related activity.
  • Industry knowledge or hands-on experience within automatic doors, access systems, construction, facilities management or building services would be highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of service contracts and project-based sales.
  • Experience using CRM systems. (Salesforce)
