Role Description

The Business Development Manager is a full-time remote role with the head office based in Hemel Hempstead. This role focuses on identifying and developing new business opportunities within the inkjet and digital printing, packaging, and carton markets, as well as growing existing accounts.   • Prospecting and qualifying leads
  • Conducting customer meetings and presentations
  • Preparing proposals and quotations in collaboration with the National sales team
  • Managing the sales pipeline
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records
  • Contributing to sales forecasts and strategic planning

The role also involves:

  • Building strong relationships with key decision-makers
  • Representing Friedheim at industry events
  • Providing feedback to internal teams to support product development and customer success

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated business development and sales skills, including lead generation, account management, and closing deals.
  • Strong relationship-building and customer engagement abilities, with a focus on consultative selling and long-term partnerships.
  • Familiarity with both digital and traditional printing environments; experience in high-speed continuous inkjet, wide format and digital printing is highly beneficial.
  • Solid analytical and commercial acumen, including the ability to interpret market trends, create proposals, and negotiate commercially sound terms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with confidence engaging stakeholders at different levels.
  • Proficient in using CRM systems and standard office software to manage pipelines, reporting, and customer records.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work effectively in a hybrid setting, balancing on-site visits with remote work.
  • Relevant education in business, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience in a technical sales environment will be seen as advantageous.
  • Valid driving license and passport and willingness to travel domestic and internationally as required.
