About MEJI
At MEJI, we're on a mission to make West African food a staple in every household. We believe authentic West African flavours deserve the same convenience and accessibility as any other cuisine. That's why we created our flagship 90-second Jollof Rice—bringing a much-loved dish to busy people in a convenient, affordable format.
Since launching, we've secured listings in 400+ Sainsbury's stores and continue to grow across retail, wholesale and e-commerce. But we're only just getting started. We're now looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to help accelerate the next stage of our growth.
The Opportunity
This is more than a sales role.
You'll work directly alongside our leadership team, helping shape MEJI's commercial growth by opening new doors, building strategic partnerships and bringing our products to more retailers and customers across the UK.
If you're entrepreneurial, commercially minded and excited by the idea of helping build a challenger food brand, we'd love to hear from you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
