Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Warwick. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with prospective and existing clients, and developing strategies to expand HaulageBoard’s presence in the logistics market.

  • Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting client meetings and presentations, preparing proposals and quotations, and negotiating commercial terms.
  • The Business Development Manager collaborates with operations, marketing, and product teams to align offerings with customer needs and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • The role also involves tracking sales performance, analyzing market trends, providing regular reports, and contributing to forecasting and revenue planning.

Qualifications

  • Strong business development, sales, and account management skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Experience in the logistics, transport, or supply chain sector, or a closely related industry, is highly beneficial.
  • Excellent relationship-building, networking, and stakeholder management capabilities across different levels of an organization.
  • Solid communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, including the ability to explain solutions clearly and persuasively.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data, identify opportunities, and develop actionable plans.
  • Comfort with using CRM systems and basic office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, email platforms).
  • Ability to work independently on-site in Warwick while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, events, and industry networking as needed.
