Description
Field-based Business Development Manager needed to grow deister's intelligent key and asset management solutions working directly with end-user organisations across a range of industries. You will build relationships with the people who buy and operate these solutions — facilities, security and procurement teams inside organisations of all kinds. You will focus on the corporate and public sector, experience in either would be a strong fit, and experience in both is even better.
For almost 40 years, deister has been at the forefront of the UK security sector. As a specialist design and manufacturing company based in Lincolnshire, we develop class-leading solutions trusted across critical infrastructure and industry, from intelligent key and asset management to GovPass-compliant access control and long-range vehicle identification. We are an independent, family-owned business with global reach, built on innovation, value engineering and trust.
What you will be doing
- Identifying and winning new business opportunities directly with end-user organisations, with focus on the corporate and public sector
- Building relationships with key stakeholders such as Heads of Security, Facilities Management, IT and Procurement, across a range of industries
- Navigating public sector procurement processes, tenders and frameworks to secure new contracts
- Understanding organisational security requirements and delivering consultative, solution-based proposals
- Representing deister at client meetings, industry events and exhibitions
- Creating structured account plans to support sustained business development across the UK
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and forecasting to support pipeline management

This is a national, field-based role covering the whole of the UK, working from a home office with the flexibility to manage your own diary and travel schedule. You will travel to our Spalding HQ once a month for planning, collaboration and training.
What you will bring
The essentials:
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience selling directly to end-user organisations, with a focus on the corporate and/or public sector
- A track record of engaging senior stakeholders such as Heads of Security, Facilities Management, IT or Procurement
- Full UK driving licence
- Fluent written and spoken English

It also helps if you have:
- Experience navigating public sector procurement processes, tenders or frameworks
- Existing relationships within corporate real estate, facilities management or public sector security networks
- A technical or engineering background in key management, asset management or security solutions
- Strong commercial acumen — balancing customer value with margin discipline
