About uhomes.com
uhomes.com is a leading global housing platform dedicated to helping international students and young professionals find quality accommodation with ease and confidence. We partner with property providers worldwide to offer a diverse and reliable portfolio of housing solutions. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Business Development Manager to expand our property portfolio and strengthen our provider network in the UK and Europe.
Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic expansion of uhomes.com's property ecosystem across the UK and Europe. Moving beyond traditional PBSA, this role focuses on sourcing, onboarding, and scaling high-value partnerships within the Build-to-Rent (BTR), Co-living, and portfolio HMO sectors. The ideal candidate will leverage an existing network of institutional operators, asset managers, and property management companies to accelerate inventory growth and establish uhomes.com as a preferred channel for young professionals and international students.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Origination: Identify, target, and secure portfolio-scale partnerships with BTR operators, Co-living developers, and established HMO management companies across major UK cities.
- Commercial Negotiation: Lead commercial discussions, structure competitive commission/listing frameworks, and execute partnership agreements that deliver long-term commercial value.
- Account Management: Nurture and scale existing provider relationships, tracking performance metrics to optimize utilization rates and ensure partner retention.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal Product, Tech, and Onboarding teams to streamline data integration, ensuring new property portfolios are rapidly live and optimized on the platform.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct continuous market analysis on UK rental trends, competitor positioning, and geographic growth corridors to identify untapped supply pipelines.
- Asset Positioning: Conduct asset evaluations to synthesize unique selling points (USPs) and commercial insights, translating them into actionable data for internal sales enablement.
- Team Management: Develop, manage and mentor junior business development executives, fostering a high-performance culture, guiding daily pipeline activities, and ensuring team alignment with broader UK and European expansion targets.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
