Business Development Manager

Location: UK (International Travel Required)

Reporting to: Managing Director

Travel: UK, Europe & USA

About the Company

A fast-growing, privately owned pharmaceutical manufacturer known for high-quality products, agile decision-making, and strong international ambitions. With a lean structure and direct access to senior leadership, the business is expanding its commercial footprint across Europe and the USA and is now seeking a true hunter to drive new business growth across key global markets.

The Opportunity

This is a pure new-business role. You will be responsible for opening new doors, attracting new clients, and building high-value commercial relationships across Europe and the US.

  • Represent the company at major industry events
  • Engage directly with decision-makers
  • Shape how the business enters and grows in new territories

This role suits a commercially sharp, internationally minded Business Development Manager who thrives in entrepreneurial environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • New business generation across Europe & USA
  • Client attraction and relationship building with pharma decision-makers
  • Territory development across multiple international markets
  • Lead commercial outreach at global conferences
  • Build and manage a high-value pipeline of new opportunities
  • Work closely with the SLT
  • Represent the company’s product portfolio with technical and commercial credibility
  • Frequent international travel to meet clients, partners, and attend events

About You

You are a passionate hunter. You thrive on opening new doors, building relationships from scratch, and converting conversations into commercial wins.

  • Strong experience in pharma / biotech / medical devices BD
  • Must have proven success in international selling (across Europe & USA)
  • Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to travel frequently
  • Entrepreneurial mindset suited to privately owned businesses
  • Commercial resilience, persistence, and relationship-driven selling style
