The Role

This is a senior, commercially focused position requiring confident engagement with senior stakeholders and the ability to independently deliver commercial results.

The primary purpose of the role is to lead and expand PPA sales activity in line with forecasted growth. You will take full ownership of developing and managing a portfolio of mid-market and Industrial & Commercial (I&C) customers, whilst building and growing strategic relationships with partners including solar installers, energy brokers, introducers, trade associations and purchasing organisations.

You will be responsible for independently driving new business opportunities, managing key strategic relationships and maximising the value of both new and existing partnerships. Working closely with Design, Credit Risk, Operations and Customer Service teams, you will ensure opportunities are commercially viable and aligned with the company's trading, service and operational capabilities.

As a senior member of the B2B Sales Team, you will also contribute towards channel strategy development and support the introduction of new products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Deliver personal sales targets in line with the wider B2B sales strategy.
  • Identify, develop and secure new PPA and cash purchase opportunities across the UK commercial sector.
  • Build, manage and grow a portfolio of customers, partners and strategic referral channels.
  • Lead new business development activities, including prospecting, networking and relationship management.
  • Maximise cross-sell and upsell opportunities across the product portfolio.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
